Congratulations to another CIAO assessment employee McHenry Township assessment department has another CIAO (Certified Illinois Assessing Officer) staff member. Jessica Rogers began employment with our office in April 2007 and by August 2008 Jessica had earned her CIAO certification.
What this means for McHenry Township residents is that you have fully qualified, professional, educated people working on your assessments. This is one job where you want the people working on your assessment to be educated. While the assess-ment is not directly* responsible for your real estate tax bill we are well aware that our work does have an impact on the financial responsibilities of property owners.
It takes a new hire employee a full year to be exposed to the variety of situations and problems that arises to be comfortable in their own skills to handle certain things by themselves.
As the assessor, I’m only as good as the people I work with and I’m very proud of each and every one of my staff members. Congratulations Jessica on a job well done!
*Each taxing body passes an operating budget (levy). Their financial needs are responsible for the actual amounts paid by the property owners.
