SENIORS GOT TALENT

We will be serving a delicious chicken dinner and dessert, but we need YOUR help for the entertainment! We are putting together a ‘variety show’ of acts, and almost anything goes! Expressing our acknowledgement for all they do...we will give them a personalized thank you. Sing a song, read a poem, tell a few jokes…individually or as a group...the sky is the limit!
Fee: $8. Reservation deadline is Friday, June 8.
The Grand Belle Luncheon/Boat Ride

The Grand Belle of Lake Geneva is designed after turn-of-the century steamers, including brass furnishings and pine decks. She offers a gorgeous space with a cozy atmosphere and is totally enclosed and climate controlled on the main deck and as well as a portion on the upper deck. Tour the wonderful lake and enjoy a delicious lunch. Bus departs Senior Services promptly at 10:30 a.m. Bus arrives back at Senior Services approximately 3:00/3:30 p.m. $85 members/$90 non-members. All American Hot Dog Party-

Join us for this ‘All American’ celebration at Senior Services, 3519 N. Richmond Road. The grills will be fired up to serve you charcoal broiled hot dogs, and a complete picnic style luncheon. Wear your favorite baseball teams t-shirt and join us in a sing-a-long with Jim Sieg - don’t miss this show! Our own Carol Bradley is back at Senior Services with another wonderful biographical presentation in her fun and unique style! Born in a charity ward and quit school at age 13, what would she become? A movie star! Bob Hope & Bing Crosby played many practical jokes on her during the 7 “Road Pictures.” Edith Heard designed her Sarong for Jungle Princess. She got the name of “The Bond Bombshell” during World War II because in one year she sold “21” Million in War Bonds! Girlfriend to Edgar Hoover! No fee. Registration deadline is Wednesday, July 18.

Join Senior Services for their Annual Cash Raffle Fundraiser – Polynesian Style! The event will be held at McHenry Township Hall, 3703 Richmond Road. A top cash prize of $700.00 will be given to the top winner and three $100.00 cash prizes for three more lucky people for a total of $1,000.00 to be given away. Raffle chances are $2.00 apiece or five for $5.00. Following a delicious luncheon you will enjoy a truly unique performance of The Royale Polynesian Revue, who will treat us to dances and beautiful costumes from the Polynesian Islands. Here is Rydell High’s senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding “Burger Palace Boys” and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking “Pink Ladies” in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s. Head “greaser” Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their “Summer Nights.” Bus departs Senior Services promptly at 9:00 a.m. Bus arrives back at Senior Services approximately 5:30 p.m. $105 members/$110 non-members. SPOOKTACULAR Masquerade Bingo Party

Come to the Haunted Senior Center Halloween celebration to play Trick-or-Treat Bingo! It’s a bingo party in which everybody comes incognito. Awards will be presented for the funniest, scariest, most original, and best overall costumes, and a special dessert and door prizes will be provided, thanks to Heritage Woods of McHenry.
