McHenry Township's
Blue Star Banner Program

Blue Star service banners are displayed in the front window of a home to show the family’s pride and support for their loved ones serving in the military.

At its monthly board meeting on December 8, 2011, McHenry Township and Beta Sigma Phi Zeta Theta recognized 3 area families representing 4 servicemen with a short presentation
ceremony in which each family received a Blue Star Banner
and a special Resolution honoring the serviceman.

Presented to Dan Kinnerk, father of SFC Michael J. Kinnerk
Presented to David & Cheryl Peake, parents of Sgt. Daniel J. Snow
and Sgt. Melissa Snow (husband & wife)
Presented to Pamela & Allen Bills, parents of AOAN Charles D. Bills

This was the first presentation under the newly launched program for residents living in McHenry Township. The program honors the soldiers and identifies the families. Banners will be presented each month to those families who apply.  For more information or to download an application
