Saturday, November 4th, 2006 the McHenry Township Jr.
Warriors Heavyweight Football team capped their
remarkable season by winning the Junior Football League of
Northern Illinois (JFLNI) Championship. They finished their season
with a perfect 11-0.

The 2006 McHenry Township Heavyweights are the only team
to ever have an undefeated season in the organization's history making this championship win very
special. The McHenry Township Jr. Warriors
organization has been operating since 1965 thus marking the
first time in 41 years that a McHenry Township
heavyweight team has been crowned champions.
McHenry Township Junior Warriors
(MTJW) is a supervised program of football for the youth of
McHenry Township and is a member of the Junior Football League of
Northern Illinois. The MTJW has been a part of McHenry County
since 1965 and previously known as the Hornets.
MTJW is a traveling program with 5 levels of play on both
Saturdays and Sundays offered to children 7-14 years of age still
in 8th grade. It is a non-profit program run by parent volunteers.
The organization grows every year and thanks everyone for their
continued support. The 2006 Season, MTJW consisted of 13 teams and
300 players strong.
