 McHenry
Township parks provide residents and visitors with clean, green, safe, and
accessible open space. Our beautiful parks offer playgrounds and picnic
areas for family oriented fun. There are a wide variety of outdoor
recreational opportunities to choose from, such as baseball, bocce ball,
sand volleyball or just walking and communing with nature.
Picnic enthusiasts can spend a day enjoying an outdoor getaway. Picnic
tables and covered shelters with conveniently located nearby restrooms are
provided for your cookout.
 The
park is spacious enough to accommodate a variety of special events large
or small and is ideal for family reunions, weddings, and company outings.
Events such as Boy Scouts Day Camp, Relay For Life, and Touch-A-Truck were
held in McHenry Township Park this past year.
 McHenry
Township offers athletic fields to local sports organizations. The four
baseball diamonds are utilized from spring through summer with little league and softball. The
soccer fields are very popular and the three soccer fields are rotated to help keep these fields healthy. Our football field is home to
the McHenry Township Junior Warriors.-
