McHenry Township offers its older residents a wide variety of programs and services the Senior Center.  To learn more, click on the links in the left-hand column.

McHenry Township Senior Center is a Salvation Army Golden Diners Nutrition Program site which caters a deli-style daily luncheon. It also houses the offices of Senior Services Associates, Inc. which provides an array of senior services to the older residents in our community.

The Senior Center is a bustling hive of activities that includes several exercise groups. It is a meeting place for various social, craft and card clubs. The Senior Center is the classroom for programs such as computer education, cooking demonstrations and art classes. Special events such as parties, luncheons and educational seminars are some of the regularly scheduled events.

McHenry Township welcomes Amy Zavala as Activities Director for the McHenry Township Senior Center. Amy is brought to us through a grant received by Senior Services Associates, Inc., and funded by the McHenry County Senior Referendum.

As Activities Director, Amy will work closely with the McHenry Township Senior Advisory Council planning and implementing programs and activities at the Senior Center.

Amy will be at the Center to greet seniors and to answer questions. She will also be accepting reservations for regularly scheduled activities and special events.
