McHenry Township Facilities
McHenry Township residents are welcome to utilize the year-round rental opportunities available at our three community buildings:
McHenry Town Hall, Whispering Hills Community Center, and McHenry Township Recreation Center. Host your entertainment at one of our facilities by reserving space for your family, organization or company event.
Each facility is available for use by both township residents and non-residents.

Rental Agreement Facility Rental Pricing
Rental Fees & Deposits
· When making deposits and paying rental fees, we only accept personal checks no later than two weeks prior to the date of the event.
· The Township does not accept credit card payment.
· Rental fees are due before the event takes place.
· Deposits will be returned after the event via mail (check).
· Host Liquor Liability insurance will be needed if you are planning to serve alcohol at the event.
Scheduling Events
· Call the Township offices at 1-815-385-5605 Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm to check if the dates you are looking at are available.
· Rental Agreements must be filled out and brought into the Township Hall or faxed to 815-385-5671 and the deposits must be received in full at the Township offices before reservations can be made. (We cannot hold dates any longer.)
Key Pick up and Drop off
· You may pick up your key the day of or before the event (Friday for Saturday & Sunday event dates)
· Keys are due back to the township the day following the event (Monday for Sunday & Saturday events). For your convenience, keys may be placed in the drop box outside our facility.
