Hello McHenry Township Residents,

Fall is quickly approaching!

The County is going to be publishing McHenry Township’s 2026 assessments on Saturday, September 5, 2026, in the Northwest Herald. Our complaint filing deadline date is Monday, October 5, 206. 

I will be holding two Assessment Appeal Forums in September: 

•  The first will be on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 10:00 am until 11:30am at the Township Building 3703 N Richmond Road, Johnsburg, IL 
• The second will be on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at the Senior Center 3519 N Richmond Road, Johnsburg, IL 

Beginning in 2026, the McHenry County Supervisor of Assessments Office will no longer be mailing the Property Assessment Notices to all properties. Notices will be sent only to those properties that have had a change that my office has made, or if they are a farm property, or new construction. The Property Assessments will be available online, and you can go to: http://mchenryil.devnetwedge.com/  

After entering your parcel number, on the upper left side, click Property Assessment Notice. 

If you do not have access to a computer, please call my office and we can print a copy for you.
